Privacy policy
The short version
Reframit keeps your practice on your device. There is no account, no server holding your data, and no audio recording. Speech is turned into text by your own device, and only that text is kept, in the app.
No account
The app has no sign-in, no profile on a server, and no user database. The name you can set in Profile is a label stored on this device, not an identity checked against anything.
What is stored, and where
Session times, slot timings, scores, your self-ratings, transcripts, your difficulty position, and your settings are stored in the app\'s private storage on this device. Other apps cannot read it. If your device backs up app data to your own cloud account, that backup is controlled by your device and your account, not by us.
The microphone
While a drill is running, the app uses Android\'s on-device speech recogniser to turn what you say into text. It is created specifically as an on-device recogniser, so the audio is processed on the device and is not sent to a speech service. No audio file is recorded, and nothing is written to storage except the text. If a device cannot do on-device recognition, the app says so and the drill runs on the timer alone.
What leaves your device
Today, nothing about your practice leaves the device. The app asks for internet access so that updated and additional prompt packs can be downloaded in a later version; downloading a pack sends only what is needed to fetch that file. If that ever changes — if subscriptions, advertising, or any other network feature is added — this policy will be updated before the feature ships, and it will say plainly what is sent.
No analytics, no advertising identifiers
The app contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no advertising SDK. It does not collect an advertising ID, a device identifier, or your location. If advertising is added in a future version, it will be described here first, and the store listing will be updated to match.
Permissions
The app asks for microphone access, which is used only while a drill is running and only for on-device recognition. You can refuse it or withdraw it at any time in system settings; the drill still works, and you simply get no transcript. Notification permission is asked for only if you turn on the daily reminder.
Children
Reframit is not designed for children and is not directed at them. It does not knowingly collect anything from a child, which is straightforward here, because it does not collect anything from anyone.
Your controls
You can clear your practice history, or erase all data and return the app to a fresh install, from Settings. Uninstalling removes everything the app stored. Because there is no server copy, there is nothing left for us to delete on your behalf.
